Went to work today... I'm interning with my congressman. It's pretty cool. I feel fortunate in that I was able to help someone with their housing situation... Basically, they're having trouble financially and after going through the Stimulus Package that was introduced, I was able to find some ways to help him out. That's pretty awesome I feel. It's a really nice feeling to be able to go through the bills and say "well actually, by applying for this, you'll be better off, here's how to do that." I'm an intern and yet I feel like I'm actually doing something and making a difference. That's really cool I think.

Story Ideas
So here I am, almost a year later... turns out I didn't write anything in Ireland when I was there. I guess that is my mistake as it was a great experience. Maybe i'm just better at writing when I have the spare time (like summer). So anyways, I'm in a slightly creative mood now and one aspect that has always facinated me is the post apocalyptic fiction category. I sort of have an idea of a book I'd like to write but at the same time I have no way to go about writing it. So basically we'll see what happens and if i write anything after all...

So it's been about 2 weeks without an update... sorry I've been really really lazy. oh well. It's Olympic season. fun stuff. America is doing pretty good I guess... go USA... I'm tired and lazy so that's about it for tonight. In other news, i hung out with my best friend from highschool days today... apparently we're going to Montreal this weekend for good times. Should be a blast. Other than that, nothing really is new so I'm off for now. Later!

I'm tired and I didn't write anything up yesterday so here's a few short lines. About to watch burn notice too. Also been spending the night reading up on D20 modern rules (a Dungeons and Dragons alternate rule system) that I really really like. I played it a bit but because the kid running the campaign got lazy and stopped running the particular campaign, I was kinda upset about that but I couldn't change what he decided to do. Oh well, at least I got plans to run a campaign and have fun with it. I wish I could get more people to play besides my girlfriend but that doesn't work I guess. Oh well, I'll deal with it and such. Anyways, sorry for the lack of info, I'll catch you guys later.

Scary times
Ok, what with conservatives shooting liberals, the huge deficit the next president will inherit and the current disasters that are occurring (both politically and economically) I feel that this is the perfect time to say that I can not stand Republicans. Honestly, after hearing about how a conservative goes into a church to shoot liberals there I have to ask, can we really trust these people with our government any more?
Also, what about the deficit? In the local newspaper today, there was a little graph showing the deficit/surplus of the United States over the last 16 years. Amazingly (not really) the only time the United States has been decreasing the deficit (or building a surplus) was when a LIBERAL WAS IN OFFICE. Shouldn't that be proof enough that the LIBERALS are better with money than the "penny-pinching" republicans? The republicans decrease public works AND spend more money than anyone so how is it possible to even consider electing a man like McCain?
Honestly, what the HELL are you people who will vote that way thinking? Do you honestly HATE America that much?

Continued from Yesterday
Ok so facebook. While made for students apparently it's now being adapted to draw in the older generations with the goal of plugging them in. Now I don't know how to feel about this because I'm still a young person but at the same time I see how great a networking tool this can be. To be able to track down old friends and such it makes sense to open it up. Plus, it's run by a company so of course there has to be some degree of profitability with this change. So while I see how it's a good thing, I know at the same time that it's a signal of change. Well, seeing as how I don't know what to say on the matter, I'm opening it to you. So everyone who reads this: tell me what you think!
In other news, in the local newspaper today somebody referenced the trade of Israeli bodies for Lebanese soldiers and how we have to appreciate the whole "judeo christian interests" in the middle east. Well, I have nothing against religion (ok not entirely true but a discussion for another time), but I do have a problem with our blind support of Israel. In this case, yes we should support Israel because of the unfair trade that was made, but it is not because of the relgious beliefs of the people. It is a bad policy to base your political actions on the beliefs of certain citizens and their faith. Note: I am not against Israel, I am however against the blind support that the government of the United States has put in them in so many political areas. I don't want to end support for allies but at some point Israel has to fend for themselves without the threat of American Power subduing their enemies. Also, What exactly is Israel giving in return for such support? I don't know, once again, I call upon you (the readers) to enlighten me! So yes, This is the time for you to write responses and let me know!
