I'm tired and I didn't write anything up yesterday so here's a few short lines. About to watch burn notice too. Also been spending the night reading up on D20 modern rules (a Dungeons and Dragons alternate rule system) that I really really like. I played it a bit but because the kid running the campaign got lazy and stopped running the particular campaign, I was kinda upset about that but I couldn't change what he decided to do. Oh well, at least I got plans to run a campaign and have fun with it. I wish I could get more people to play besides my girlfriend but that doesn't work I guess. Oh well, I'll deal with it and such. Anyways, sorry for the lack of info, I'll catch you guys later.

Scary times
Ok, what with conservatives shooting liberals, the huge deficit the next president will inherit and the current disasters that are occurring (both politically and economically) I feel that this is the perfect time to say that I can not stand Republicans. Honestly, after hearing about how a conservative goes into a church to shoot liberals there I have to ask, can we really trust these people with our government any more?
Also, what about the deficit? In the local newspaper today, there was a little graph showing the deficit/surplus of the United States over the last 16 years. Amazingly (not really) the only time the United States has been decreasing the deficit (or building a surplus) was when a LIBERAL WAS IN OFFICE. Shouldn't that be proof enough that the LIBERALS are better with money than the "penny-pinching" republicans? The republicans decrease public works AND spend more money than anyone so how is it possible to even consider electing a man like McCain?
Honestly, what the HELL are you people who will vote that way thinking? Do you honestly HATE America that much?

Continued from Yesterday
Ok so facebook. While made for students apparently it's now being adapted to draw in the older generations with the goal of plugging them in. Now I don't know how to feel about this because I'm still a young person but at the same time I see how great a networking tool this can be. To be able to track down old friends and such it makes sense to open it up. Plus, it's run by a company so of course there has to be some degree of profitability with this change. So while I see how it's a good thing, I know at the same time that it's a signal of change. Well, seeing as how I don't know what to say on the matter, I'm opening it to you. So everyone who reads this: tell me what you think!
In other news, in the local newspaper today somebody referenced the trade of Israeli bodies for Lebanese soldiers and how we have to appreciate the whole "judeo christian interests" in the middle east. Well, I have nothing against religion (ok not entirely true but a discussion for another time), but I do have a problem with our blind support of Israel. In this case, yes we should support Israel because of the unfair trade that was made, but it is not because of the relgious beliefs of the people. It is a bad policy to base your political actions on the beliefs of certain citizens and their faith. Note: I am not against Israel, I am however against the blind support that the government of the United States has put in them in so many political areas. I don't want to end support for allies but at some point Israel has to fend for themselves without the threat of American Power subduing their enemies. Also, What exactly is Israel giving in return for such support? I don't know, once again, I call upon you (the readers) to enlighten me! So yes, This is the time for you to write responses and let me know!

Another day, another dollar. Went down to visit the girlfriend this weekend, I can talk about that tomorrow, I'm exhausted though, I haven't been getting the best rest recently. So I'm going to try hitting the sack rather soon to hopefully get a good night's rest.
Sorry about the lack of a post but yeah, on the note of talking about articles in the news that interest me, have a look at this:
http://www.nytimes.com/idg/IDG_852573C4006938800025748D0064C292.html?ref=technology
So yeah, it's not much but it's something i'll talk about tomorrow (if i remember). apparently facebook's looking at attracting the older part of the population to partake in the joys of facebook. I don't know how i feel about this... it seems like facebook should be for the youth, after all it's called facebook for a reason! So yep, i'll talk about it tomorrow. Night!

Tomatoes are safe
Yep, so apparently it's safe to eat tomatoes again according to the FDA. Well in my house we never stopped. Nobody got sick. Amazing isn't it? Well not really... see less than 200 people got sick (if I recall correctly, regardless it was a low number) and how many millions of people eat tomatoes every day in the United States. I personally believe that that whole tomato fear was just hype because of those figures. It was really ridiculous to see all of that fear started because of the something so small. Ugh. I can't believe all of that fear was started because a few people got sick. A very easy way to prevent getting sick from your food is to just WASH IT. if it's greasy, use SOAP. I hope people can figure that out. anyways, tomatoes are safe, but wash your food people!

A look into my life today: Basically I'm torn. I like my ex... I like my current girl... I don't know what the heck to do. The ex and I have started talking and hopefully things won't blow up between us this time (they usually do) and I also like my current girl... Basically I have no idea how to explain it) partially because I don't know how to figure it out for myself. I feel really guilty about how I feel (or don't feel) but I did talk to my girl about it... which leads to confusion. Idk, I don't know how to feel or what to say even on here. I guess I'll get off, sorry for the swing in feelings today but tomorrow I should be back on track. So yep, tomorrow come back for more commentary on world/US news!

Oil Prices Falling?
Ok, sorry for not posting yesterday, kinda threw myself off with the post on Sunday. Not much has been happening here so back onto the news thing. Apparently oil prices dropped significantly today. Now while I think that's a great thing I know that both 1: it won't change the oil prices we pay at the pump tomorrow (or at any point) and 2: they are going to go back up. I am curious as to why there is a price decrease at a time like this. Yes the banks in America are failing and yes the economy is falling to pieces but when you look at it, all that would push for the prices to skyrocket as companies would try to get as much profit as possible. After all, if the economy is going to fail, wouldn't companies be more interested in making money now before people can't afford to spend money?
I honestly don't understand how those companies think. But yep, if the prices went down I guess it's a good thing. True it was because of a lack of consumer confidence but hey, they went down and with prices as high as they are, I guess that is better than nothing.
So yep, in other news (my personal news) I'm going to be visiting my girlfriend this weekend! Not sure how much I want to drive down and visit her but I do want to see her. Should be a blast and all that exciting stuff. Other than that, nothing to really report, work is work and not much I can do to fix that. Anyways, later all!

Well, this weekend in the next town over Sailfest occurred. it's a pretty major event where all of downtown is closed to traffic and vendors and such come in, do a search for it and you'll see what it's like. Anyways every election year the major contenders usually have a setup to raise local support and all that jazz. This year I saw Nader had a tent (oh joy). Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate the Green Party, in fact I can understand why people want a more liberal person in office than a democratic contender (for example, Kerry or Gore). But what the Green party doesn't realize is that they are splitting the votes the democratic candidate would get if there was no Green Party (or other liberal party) running. THIS IS GIVING THE ELECTION AWAY. Heck, in 2000 we lost because 3.9% of the population voted for Nader, in 2004 that was not a factor. But this year, when the democratic contender is a black man, threats of racism are prevalent. Nader I call on you to pull out of this election. I understand and respect that you want a liberal president but by being in the election and splitting the left even if it is in a limited amount, YOU MAKE AN EASIER ELECTION FOR McCAIN. After the last EIGHT years, can we really stand to have another conservative in office?
A vote for Nader is nothing more than a vote directed at ruining the main Liberal Candidate. I don't like the two party system, but it's not going to change and it's time people accept that.

Well, another day has come and gone and I'm just getting used to using this laptop. I do like it because now I can chill out while watching TV and chat with people (or something like that). Basically it just lets me hang out on the the couch with a computer. still not bad. Anyways, today was a pretty unexciting day. Nothing's really happened worth noting all day. It's really been a boring day. Work was uneventful and all that jazz. After work was uneventful (though we finally got rid of the first section of the lawn mower scrap we have). Other than that, nothing really happened. Sorry, maybe tomorrow will be more worth nothing. I really don't know though.
